Amal Clooney
Amal Clooney, born Amal Alamuddin in Lebanon is a Lebanese as well as a British barrister who was an activist for human rights over the years. She has graduated from Oxford University School of Law and New York University School of Law. The length of her career has been praised internationally for her accomplishments in international law and the field in human rights. Some of her clients are the nation of Armenia which is fighting the Turkish government for the recognition and apology of Armenia's Armenian Genocide. Amal Clooney arranged for American actor George Clooney to marry him in 2014, and instantly became a household name in pop entertainment. Before that, she was already well-known and loved by legal professionals for consistently representing clients with skill and success. Her expertise spans a broad spectrum of work, from dealing with human rights and social justice issues to human rights through to representing multinational companies in court, and during negotiations over government regulation. In 2015 and beyond she worked as a barrister at British court in Doughty Street Chambers.
