Maggie Grace (born Margaret Grace Denig September 21 1983) is an American actress, best recognized for her performances as Shannon Rutherford on the ABC TV series Lost and Kim Mills in the Taken trilogy. After her parents' divorce her parents separated, she moved to Worthington Ohio in order to settle in Los Angeles. In 2001, despite her financial struggles, she was able get her first significant part in the web-based video show Rachel's Room as the main character. The role she played of Martha Moxley, a 15-year-old victim of murder in the TV film Murder In Greenwich in 2002 earned her a nomination for a Young Artist Award. Grace Rutherford, a character in Lost from 2004 until 2005 was nominated for an Screen Actors Guild Award. Grace decided to concentrate on film after starring opposite Tom Welling's character in The Fog, in 2005. The role she played was Kim Mills opposite Liam Neeson (both in Taken 2008) on Suburban Girl and The Jane Austen Book Club. She reprised the role for Taken 2 (2012) and Taken 3 (2014).She played the lead role Alice on Malice in Wonderland a modern version of Lewis Carroll's classic novel Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. The actress gained more attention when she portrayed Rachel Dawes, a superhero in The Dark Knight (2008) as well as a number of successful commercial films she starred in during 2006. In the film, her performance as Crazy Heart as a mother with a single child received her a nomination to the Academy Award Best Supporting Actress.
